The “Siemens Gates” technical sculptures designed by Daniel Libeskind – anchored the four corners of the EXPO’s Piazza Italia central square.
We created animations that symbolically drew future trends in energy, industry, healthcare and cities & infrastructure solutions onto the tall structures, seamlessly combining dynamic art and technical innovation.
AR was used to show how the sculptures “communicated” with each other as their content played across the huge piazza.
We also researched a plethora of architectural plans to find the highest resolution possible for the embedded LED before overheating became a risk.
The sculptures are now permanently installed in Munich.
